Get on the floor and join Michi in this shaping routine from our easy functional fat burner series. You will tone and shape your body through movement flow exercises. It's a perfect workout for all ages and levels - beginners to advanced. Don't let Michi fool you and prepare your mat - you'll be much more comfortable!
Can you think of a better way to start than with this warm-up? Let's begin by tackling your legs, glutes, abs and core muscles with squats and plank variations, and then move on to the second part of this workout where you'll work your legs with a high knee run. A mix of side bends for your upper body, planks for your core, shoulders and back, and step touch exercises. Finish off this workout with side leg raises, biceps exercises, standing scales (core!) and lateral and cross-over lunges! If you need to catch your breath in between exercises you can do some running in place. At the end of this workout you'll get to relax with small breathing exercises.
Tip: If this workout is too challenging at the beginning, you can always take a break and move a bit (marching in place, for example) until you feel ready to continue. Another option is to follow Michi's instructions on how to simplify the exercises, especially the floor-based ones. You will start to see how this routine gets easier with time!
